I created this infographic to support a presentation about my training design process.

Impact#
With this visual I wanted to ground my discussion of process and design in a shared reference. It was much easier to present my approach and discuss questions or nuances with something to point to.
The circular shape, personas, iconography, and background scenes all represent aspects of my process that I wanted to communicate – something a simple text document or slide couldn’t do as well.
Design Highlights#
I wanted to push myself to try a more “maximalist” design because my work tends to be more sparse and leverage whitespace. As a discussion aid, something busier and richer was a great fit for encouraging conversation.
Originally I prototyped a linear version and a winding road version, but the iterative and collaborative nature of my work fit better with a circular visual.
I’m happy with how the background elements also tie into my learner-focused approach. A reminder of who I’m trying to help and the importance of their on-the-job context.
Credits#
I designed and produced the job aid structure and visuals in Adobe Illustrator with vector assets licensed from Freepik.
